After a two-year absence, UK pop singer Lewis Capaldi returned in June with new single, ‘Survive’, which he debuted at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.
Now the Scottish artist has shared his second single of 2025, ‘Something in the Heavens’.
Co-written with Connor and Riley McDonough, the track is a classic Capaldi piano ballad with heartfelt lyrics about loving someone who is no longer in your life but you believe you’ll again.
“I’ll love you ’til my last breath/ You’re gone but something in the heavens tells me that we’ll be together again,” Capaldi sings on the chorus.
To coincide with the release of ‘Something in the Heavens’, Capaldi announced a run of shows across the UK and Ireland, which come after the hitmaker tours Australian and New Zealand tour this November and December.
Capaldi’s Australasia tour begins with two shows in New Zealand at Christchurch’s Wolfbrook Arena on Sunday 30 November and Auckland’s Spark Arena on Tuesday 2 December. Then the ‘Someone You Loved’ crooner heads to Australia for five dates at Brisbane’s Entertainment Centre on Thursday 4 December, Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Saturday 6 December, Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Friday 12 December and Adelaide’s AEC Arena on Monday 15 December, with the final concert taking place at Perth’s RAC Arena on Wednesday 17 December.
