St Jerome’s Laneway Festival returns in 2026, with organisers revealing several venue changes.
The biggest surprise comes for Queensland music fans, with the festival moving from Brisbane to the Gold Coast due to the Brizzy site being prepared for the 2032 Olympics.
In South Australia, Laneway has moved from Bonython Park to Adelaide Showgrounds, while the Western Australian leg of the festival is relocating to Arena Joondalup in Perth. Melbourne and Sydney see no changes, with Flemington Racecourse playing host to the Melbourne festival and Centennial Park to the Sydney festival.
Kicking off in New Zealand at Auckland’s Western Springs on Thursday 5 February, Laneway Festival hits Gold Coast’s Southport Sharks on Saturday 7 February, Sydney’s Centennial Park on Sunday 8 February, Melbourne’s Flemington Park on Friday 13 February and Adelaide’s Showgrounds on Saturday 14 February, wrapping up at Perth’s Arena Joondalup on Sunday 15 February.
Laneway Festival Auckland is 18+, while all the Aussie legs of the festival are 16+.
The full lineup is set to drop tomorrow, Thursday 18 September at 8:10 AEST.

In a statement, Danny Rogers and Jerome Borazio, co-founders of the festival, said, “It’s incredible to be celebrating 21 years of Laneway. What began as a little street party in a Melbourne laneway has grown into a summer ritual across Australia and New Zealand.
“Every year we’re blown away by the response from the artists, fans, and community that make Laneway so special — 2026 is about honouring that history while looking to the future.”
With the festival lineup set to be revealed tomorrow, rumours are already flying around that pop superstar Sabrina Carpenter will be announced as the headliner. To make sure you don’t miss out on the lineup, sign up for the Laneway mailing list here.
