Queer bubblegum punk duo Cry Club are embarking on a national tour in support of their latest single, ‘This, Forever’.
Released today (19 September), the track is a boppy synth number the band described as sounding like “apologising to your best friend right as they apologise to you, the venue for the best gig of ur life doesn’t exist anymore, your work wife is quitting for real this time, the first awful date after your last long-term relationship, your 3rd week on prozac.”
The duo added, “It’s about the moment right after you feel the absolute worst, realising that the good moments are temporary, but so are all the bad moments. Being here for the people you love, even when you’re mad at each other.”
Having finished up an Australian tour in June, Cry Club can’t wait to get back on the road this November and December, commencing their latest lap around the country in Adelaide at Ed Castle on Friday 7 November.
Cry Club then plays Wollongong’s Dicey Riely’s on Saturday 8 November, Sydney’s Buddy’s on Wednesday 12 November, Canberra’s Dissent on Thursday 13 November and Brisbane’s Blute’s on Sunday 16 November, wrapping things up at Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club on Wednesday 31 December.
Tickets for all shows are on sale now via linktr.ee/cryclubmusic.

Forming in 2018, Cry Club comprises vocalist Heather Riley and guitarist Jonathon Tooke.
Together the two craft emo pop punk songs and have released two full-length albums, God I'm Such a Mess (2020) and Spite Will Save Me (2023), with the latter called “brash, dramatic and camp, but also beautiful and empowering,” by NME.
Having completed their own headline tour in June and supported the likes of The Darkness and Regurgitator, Cry Club’s live show has evolved into a magical event that everyone should experience at least once in their life.
