DZ Deathrays Announce New Album ‘Easing Out of Control’ & 2026 Australian Tour Dates

Australia’s favourite noise punk rockers DZ Deathrays have announced the release of their seventh studio album, Easing Out of Control.
Arriving January 16 2026, the album was originally proposed as two EPs showcasing the trio’s heavy rock meets experimental pop sound. Easing Out of Control features Violent Soho’s Luke Henery on bass and was recorded at DZ’s home studio.
“This is a record that dips in and out of chaos and more delicate moments,” says vocalist and guitarist Shane Parsons. “We wanted to bring in more dance music elements, but still keep that raw DZ sound alive.”
To coincide with the album announcement, the lads have also shared ripping new single ‘REAL LOVE’ and a stack of Aussie tour dates.
The Easing Out of Control Album Tour begins at the Rosemount Hotel in Boorloo/Perth on Friday 16 January and continues with dates at Lion Arts Factory in Kaurna/Adelaide (Saturday 17 January), Croxton Bandroom in Naarm/Melbourne (Friday 23 January), Altar Bar in Palawa Kani/Hobart (Saturday 24 January) and Crowbar in Meanjin/Brisbane (Friday 30 January), before wrapping up at Crowbar in Gadigal/Sydney on Saturday 7 February.

Founded by Shane Parsons (vocals/guitar) and Simon Ridley (drums) in 2008, DZ Deathrays dropped two EPs before taking Australia by storm with their 2012 debut album, Bloodstreams.
Recruiting Lachlan Ewbank on lead guitar, the trio have gone on to release a total of six ARIA charting studio albums, with both Bloody Lovely and Positive Rising: Part 2 peaking at #4 on the ARIA Album Charts.
DZ Deathrays’ most recent record, 2023’s R.I.F.F, peaked at #8 on the ARIA Album Chart, making it the band’s third top-ten album.
