Kiwi rock and rollers The Datsuns are finally returning to Australian shores in 2026.
Taking to social media to share the news, the band wrote: “For years we’ve been foiled and waylaid by emergencies, surgeries, and the everyday chaos of life. But finally - finally! - we’re making the pilgrimage back to the Land of the Long White Cloud for a run of shows. This coming March. Join us for good times!”
The announcement comes on the back of The Datsuns’ massively successful European tour that saw them play shows in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain and the UK.
Fans can expect to hear songs from the band’s seven album discography, as well as a few surprises from their yet-to-be-titled eighth studio album, which is due out in 2026.
The Datsuns’ whirlwind Aussie tour commences at The Gov in Adelaide on Wednesday 25 March and continues with dates at Brisbane’s Crowbar on Thursday 26 March, Sydney’s Crowbar on Friday 27 March and Melbourne’s Croxton Bandroom on Saturday 28 March – Croxton, Melbourne.
Pre-sale early bird tickets go on sale at 10am AEST on Friday 3 October, with general on-sale beginning at 10am AEST on Tuesday 7 October at 10am via hardlinemedia.net.

Bursting onto the scene in 2002 with their self-titled debut album, which topped the New Zealand Album Charts, The Datsuns have gained a reputation for their riff-heavy rock tracks.
While they’ve failed to match the commercial success of their debut, The Datsuns have been a mainstay of New Zealand’s rock scene while gaining a legion of overseas fans.
The current lineup of Dolf de Borst, Christian Livingstone, Phil Somervell and Ben Cole is eager to get back to Australia next year for what is sure to be an energetic bunch of live shows across the nation.
