UK singer-songwriter Sam Fender’s Australian return is upon us, with the Mercury Prize winner gearing up for a run of six shows this November.
Touring in support of his third album, People Watching, demand for tickets has seen the Newcastle lad’s Brisbane and Perth shows sell out, while an extra date was added in Melbourne.
Alongside the previously announced UK indie singer-songwriter Holly Humberstone as support, Fender has named a kickass bunch of local acts to join him on tour. Emerging artists Esha Tewari, Beddy Rays, Sycco and Day We Ran will be performing at select dates on the tour.
Having wowed fans with his performance at Coachella, Fender has just completed a run of dates across the UK and Europe before making his down under return next month.
Fender’s People Watching tour begins with two concerts in Melbourne at Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Friday 14 November and Saturday 15 November. The tour continues with gigs at Brisbane’s Riverstage on Wednesday 19 November, Sydney’s The Showring Entertainment Quarter on Friday 21 November and Adelaide’s AEC Arena on Tuesday 25 November, before Fender wraps things up at Perth’s Kings Park & Botanic Garden on Friday 28 November.

Arguably one of the most gifted songwriters to emerge out of the UK in decades, Sam Fender has cemented his credentials with the release of People Watching.
Debuting at #1 on the UK Album Chart, People Watching is the fastest-selling UK album of 2025 so far and also earned Fender his third BRIT Award for Best Rock/Alternative Act.
Hot on the heels of his upcoming Aussie tour, Fender has announced that a deluxe edition of People Watching will be released on Friday 5 December via Polydor Records (pre-order here).
The expanded version includes eight additional tracks, including the chart-topping Olivia Dean collaboration ‘Reing Me In’ and recent release ‘Talk To You’, which features the legendary Elton John.
Discussing the Elton John collab, Fender says, “It’s a song about the end of a long relationship - about the regret, the mistakes, and the lessons that come with it. I thought, what I need is a really good pianist… and who better than Elton John?”
Elton John comments, “Sam called to say he’d written a song with a piano riff he thought would sound great with me playing it. I couldn’t resist. It’s incredible to see him grow into a truly world-class artist.”
Catch Sam Fender at AEC Arena on Tuesday 25 November. Limited tickets available via secretsounds.com.
