One of the greatest songwriters of her generation, Suzanne Vega helped lead the folk revival of the early ‘80s. With just her voice and guitar, she got her start performing in Greenwich Village clubs before the release of her self-titled debut album turned her into a worldwide star.
The 1985 album was a critical and commercial smash and produced the hit single ‘Marlene on the Wall’. Known for her masterful storytelling, Vega’s sophomore album Solitude Standing was even bigger and spawned her most successful single, ‘Luka’.
Vega has gone on to release ten albums across her 40 year career, including this year’s Flying with Angels, with Rolling Stone calling it one of the best albums of 2025 and Stereogum observing, “Veteran Alt-rocker Suzanne Vega is still making great music... It's not an exaggeration to call her a straight-up legend.”
Last in the country back in 2018, Vega’s upcoming tour is sure to sell out, so be sure to grab your tickets as soon as they go on sale.
