South Australia’s annual celebration of music, Good Music Month, kicks off this weekend, with more than 350 events across November.

Presented by MusicSA, Good Music Month takes place in venues, parks and interesting spaces across South Australia and features an extraordinary program of international superstars, national greats and local legends.

Punters can catch global icons including Metallica, Sam Fender and Tool, along with Aussie favs such as Grinspoon, RÜFÜS DU SOL, Liz Stringer, The Dead South, Winston Surfshirt and many more.

There will also be plenty of SA talent on show throughout the month, including emerging 18-year-old Zara Chantelle performing at the Ed Castle across four nights, Low Stakes at Northern Sound System and the Nexus Arts Interplay Series, highlighting the next wave of need-to-know South Australian artists, including Nahlla, LENI, and Katie Aspel.

Those who enjoy classical music can enjoy major works by Mozart, Beethoven, and Schubert performed by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, while Chamber Music Adelaide is presenting a free mini-festival of 45 pop-up chamber music concerts.

Bringing Good Music Month to an end will be the inaugural HYDE & SEEK Street Festival on Saturday 29 November. Curated by Rhino Room, the closing part will feature three stages and showcase 15 of the state’s best live acts, including Empty Threats, Lola, Placement, Swapmeet, MyChérie and many more.

“This year’s program shows just how alive South Australia’s music scene is, and we can’t wait to see audiences enjoying live music across the state. Now in its third year, Good Music Month continues to strengthen South Australia’s music-loving community, shining a light on the wealth of talent and opportunities that exist across the state, and championing contemporary music in all its forms.”

We’re celebrating musicians and live music right around the state as well as shining a light on our incredible live music venues.”
