The Lumineers Announce The Head and The Heart as Australian & New Zealand Tour Support

Indie folk duo The Lumineers are bringing their The Automatic Tour to Australia and New Zealand in 2026.
Having already sold out two of their headline performances, tickets are selling fast for The Lumineers’ first visit since 2022, with the band today announcing The Head and the Heart as their tour support.
The American indie folk outfit are fresh from the release of their sixth album Aperture, which has received glowing reviews from the music press, and will perform at all dates of the tour.
The Lumineers have also added a new date to their tour, with fans in Newcastle lucky to be given a headline concert at Newcastle Entertainment Centre on Thursday 15 January.
The tour begins with two shows in New Zealand at Christchurch’s Town Hall on Saturday 3 January and Auckland’s Spark Arena on Tuesday 6 January. The Lumineers then head to Australia for concerts at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl on Friday 9 January, Brisbane’s Entertainment Centre on Tuesday 13 January, the newly announced Newcastle date at Newcastle Entertianment Centre on Thursday 15 Janaury, Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Friday 16 January and Adelaide’s AEC Arena on Sunday 18 January, finishing up at Perth’s RAC Arena on Wednesday 21 January.

The Lumineers have risen from indie folk nobodies playing small club shows in New York to global superstars selling out arenas and stadiums across the globe.
Founded by Wesley Schultz (lead vocals, guitar) and Jeremiah Fraites (drums, percussion, piano) in 2005, The Lumineers have gone on to release five studio albums across their two decade career, with their self-titled debut topping the Billboard 200 and spawning the #1 single, ‘Ho Hey’.
The band have 24 #1 hits in total across multiple radio platforms and have garnered more than 6 billion streams and sold more than 1.5 million albums in the US.
This year’s AUTOMATIC was produced by David Baron (Lana Del Rey, Noah Kahan) and debuted at #2 on the Top Rock Albums, Americana/Folk Albums and Independent Albums Charts and includes the #1 Billboard Adult Alternative Airplay Chart hit, ‘Same Old Song’.
