Shoegaze Pioneers Slowdive Plot Australian Tour 2025
The English rockers return to our shores for five gigs this April and May.

Returning to Australia this April and May after selling out their 2023 tour, UK shoegaze pioneers Slowdive have announced a run of five shows across the country.
Best known for their seminal 1993 album, Souvlaki, Slowdive led the shoegaze charge in the early ‘90s before calling it quits in 1995. 22 years later they reformed and released their 2017 self-titled album, finding a whole new generation of fans eager to see them perform live.
Slowdive’s Australian tour commences at Perth’s Astor Theatre on Wednesday, April 30. The five-piece then have gigs lined up at Melbourne’s Festival Hall on Saturday, May 3, Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall on Sunday, May 4, Syndey’s Enmore Theatre on Tuesday, May 6 and Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Thursday, May 8.
New York indie rockers Beach Fossil will be joining Slowdive on tour.
Early bird pre-sale kicks off Wednesday, February 12 at 8:30am local time. Register your interest here. General on-sale begins Friday, February at 8:30am local time via Destroy All Lines.

Forming in 1989 in Reading, England, Slowdive signed with Creation Records a year later, releasing their debut record, Just for a Day, in 1991. The album failed to impress critics but found a groundswell of support from fans, leading to Slowdive’s seminal 1993 album, Souvlaki.
Once again receiving mixed reviews from critics, the album propelled Slowdive to worldwide success. It’s been retrospectively praised for helping pioneer the shoegaze genre and has over 376 million Spotify streams.
Sadly the band split several years later before reforming in 2017 and sharing their self-titled fourth album. Since then Slowdive have toured frequently and put out the 2023 record, Everything Is Alive, which Clash called “enchanting and illuminating” in their 8/10 review.
Whether you’re a longtime fan or just getting into Slowdrive, this is one concert not to be missed.
