Irish singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy has announced he’s returning to Australia and New Zealand this November.
Following his powerful appearance at last year’s MISNEACH Festival in Sydney, Kennedy’s upcoming tour arrives in support of his newly released album, The Weight of the Woods. The album created UK chart history as Kennedy became the first Irish solo artist to ever make it to #1 with their first three studio albums.
Largely written and recorded at a studio near Kennedy’s home in rural Ireland, alongside close collaborator Gabe Simon (Noah Kahan, Lana Del Rey), The Weight of the Woods features singles ‘Honest’, ‘Funeral’ and ‘Refuge’.
Kennedy’s Australian leg of the tour commences on Saturday 14 November at Perth’s Kings Park and Botanic Garden, followed by concerts at Brisbane’s Riverstage on Tuesday 17 November, Sydney’s TikTok Entertainment Centre on Wednesday 18 November and Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Saturday 21 November, before concluding on Sunday 22 November at Adelaide Entertainment Centre Theatre.
The New Zealand dates kick off on Wednesday 25 November at Christchurch Town Hall, followed by TSB Arena in Wellington on Friday 27 November and Auckland’s at Spark Arena on Saturday 28 November.
There are a stack of different pre-sale options, including artist pre-sale and Mastercard pre-sale, with the Live Nation pre-sale running from 10am AEST Thursday 7 May until 10am AEST Friday 8 May, and general on-sale beginning at 11am AEST Friday 8 May.

Dermot Kennedy is one of the most successful artists to come out of Ireland in recent years, with the singer-songwriter having amassed 4 billion streams across all platforms, achieved three consecutive #1 albums on the Irish charts and shared the stage with the likes of Niall Horan, Noah Kahan and Zach Bryan.
From busking on the street to headlining stadiums across the globe, Kennedy is known for his passionate and live performances is about to embark on a massive tour of the UK and Europe, then venture across the US and Canada for a run of shows, before finally touching down in Australia and New Zealand.
