Adelaide's most intimate live music series is back!
The eighth edition of Concept Sessions in partnership with City of Adelaide Council returns this weekend on Saturday 2 May, taking over a character-filled heritage space in the heart of the CBD.
For one afternoon, the chosen venue will be transformed into a live performance recording space showcasing three awesome local artists, each with their own unique sound.
First up is introspective artist Kara Manansala, whose poetic lyrics and lush harmonies merge with experimental jazz-influenced instrumentation. Having performed with world-renowned drummer Alexander Flood and Belgian-Adelaide DJ Gratts and at WOMADelaide 2025, Manansala has marked herself as one to watch.
Adelaide's own pop-R&B vocal trio Opulence have been announced to help bring the good vibes. Inspired by the likes of Destiny’s Child, TLC, Blaque and the Spice Girls, Opulence’s three members, Isaac, Lily and Nicoletta, blend soulful melodies with heartfelt lyrics instilled with a dose of ‘90s nostalgia.
Last but not least is Zimbabwian Praise Mangena, who is riding high after the release of her enchanting debut single, ‘Maze’. Mangena crafts tranquil music via spoken word poetry and contemporary beats.
Concept Sessions takes place in the Adelaide CBD on Saturday 2 May. Capacity is strictly limited, with tickets are on sale now via humanitix.com.
