The Note is excited to premiere the music video for ‘Avengers Level Threat’ by DIY alt-rockers TOWNHOUSE.
Fresh off the heels of their critically acclaimed sophomore EP, Look At Me Now, released in September of 2025, Adelaide trio TOWNHOUSE are back and visualising the madness.
Recorded entirely in a bedroom by Cooper Smith, Dan Heath, and Matt Burgess and fuelled by the raw energy of the city’s thriving indie-emo scene, TOWNHOUSE’s sophomore Look At Me Now sent ripples through Australia’s indie-emo scene. Now, they are bringing that sonic friction of lead single ‘Avengers Level Threat’ to the big screen.
The music video takes the song’s theme of escalating emotional tension and turns it into a domestic war zone. The production features a unique “invisible wall” concept where a high-energy performance collides with a background sitcom spiralling out of control.
“The goal was to try and make a sitcom in the background while a performance happened in the front. The actors can’t see the performer, can’t regulate their emotions the way they would when being perceived, and the performer can’t see the fight, but he can feel the energy coming forward,” frontman Dan Heath explains.
“The song sonically descends into madness through each section; more dynamic, angrier with every verse, this made the acting so free. We just got to have an argument and make it as silly as we liked, throwing food, having a pillow fight. It was really fun to film. We filmed the whole thing at my parents' house with Liam from Leave The Crumbs, and it all came together so quickly.”
Filmed by South Australia’s own Liam Woolcock (@leavethecrumbs), the video stars the three TOWNHOUSE members, simultaneously bringing lighthearted fun and emotional depth to the track, daring audiences to listen in a little closer to the lyrics.

Since bursting out onto the scene with their nostalgic 90s skate-scene attitude and tight, raspy delivery, TOWNHOUSE has become synonymous with releasing power-packed, emotionally raw tracks and blowing audiences away in live settings. The ‘Avenger Level Threat’ music video serves as the final, chaotic exclamation point to TOWNHOUSE’s Look At Me Now era.
TOWNHOUSE are certainly an act to keep a keen eye on - more releases and gigs to come.
