Experimental New York outfit YHWH Nailgun returns to Australia and makes their New Zealand debut this July.
The genre-blending post-rock meets post-punk quartet, who sound like Talking Heads on acid, are touring in support of their 2025 full-length debut album 45 Pounds, an album Pitchfork described as an “outstanding debut” and gave a score of 8.5 out of 10.
YHWH Nailgun’s tour arrives less than 12 months after their last tour down under, which included a sold-out show in Melbourne.

Coming together in 2020, the quartet of Zack Borzone (vox), Jack Tobias (synth), Sam Pickard (drums) and Saguiv Rosenstock (guitar) have taken the experimental rock world by storm with their abrasive sound.
Borzone and Pickard began the project in Philadelphia during lockdown before moving to New York and adding Tobias, who first appeared on YHWH Nailgun’s self-titled debut EP, which was produced by fourth member Rosenstock.
Their 2025 debut album, 45 Pounds, was released via London label AD 93 to critical acclaim and has seen the band play both small, innovative club shows and grace the stages of major festivals, including SXSW.
