Ohio rockers Citizen have announced the release of their new album, Halcyon Blues, out Friday 7 August via Run For Cover/Civilians, along with an Australian tour taking place across February and March 2027.
The creative five-piece, who were last down under in 2024 headlining New Bloom Festival, are considered part of emo’s fourth wave, and will be joined on tour by post-hardcore outfit Drug Church.
The band’s Halcyon Blues Australian tour begins in Brisbane at The Tivoli on Friday 26 February and continues with shows at Sydney’s Liberty Hall on Saturday 27 February, Melbourne’s The Forum on Sunday 28 February and Adelaide’s The Gov on Wednesday 3 March, with the last show at Perth’s Magnet House on Thursday 4 March.

Citizen have been impressing for close to 20 years, with the rock underdogs rising from high school band to headline act.
With five albums under their belt and countless sold-out tours, Citizen’s upcoming album Halcyon Blues marks the next chapter in the group’s evolution.
The record’s first single, ‘Highs and Lows’, is a heroic rock song with duelling guitars and a shimmering bassline.
