Nile Embarks on ‘The Underworld Awaits’ 2024 Australian Tour This October
Death metal kings Nile have announced six shows this October.

For the first time in more than a decade, heavy metal titans Nile return to Australian shores to decimate audiences with their killer riffs and Egyptian mythology-influenced sermons.
‘The Underworld Awaits’ tour, presented by Bleed Records, Grindhead Productions, Valhalla Touring and World Entertainment Inc., will see Nile play six dates across the country this October along with a one-off show in Auckland, New Zealand.
Nile is set to deliver a ferocious set of brutal tunes that will transport you to a world of unholy darkness, beginning with a show at Perth’s Milk Bar/Civic Hotel on Tuesday, October 15.
The technical masters then play shows at Adelaide’s The Gov (Wednesday, October 16, Brisbane’s The Brightside (Thursday, October 17), Melbourne’s Max Watts (Friday, October 18), Hobart’s Uni Bar (Saturday, October 19) and Sydney’s Crowbar (Sunday, October 20)
Aussie death metal pulverizers Carnal Viscera have been announced as the first support act, with more names to come.
Nile has been at the forefront of technical death metal for over three decades. Known for their intricate guitar riffs and vocalist and guitarist Karl Sanders’s Egyptian-themed lyrics, Nile has released nine albums to date, with 2019s Vile Nilotic Rites their most recent offering.
The band’s Australian tour is one not to be missed for those who favour the dark side of metal.

The track arrives as Corby gears up to support Teddy Swims on his upcoming Australian tour.
Support comes from Baltimore hardcore act End It and Sydney’s Secret World.
The Mountain follows 2023’s Cracker Island and features collaborations with Sparks, Yasiin Bey, Johnny Marr of the Smiths and more.
The band will now be heading our way in March 2026.
