BIGSOUND 2026 has revealed its hectic musical program via the BIGSOUND 100: a carefully curated selection of the best artists the country has to offer.

Taking over Fortitude Valley in Magandjin/Brisbane from Tuesday 1 September to Friday 4 September, the program features a rich and diverse lineup meticulously built by programmers Casey O’Shaughnessy and Katie Rynne, with consultation from industry experts.

Highlights of this year’s top-notch program include Ngaiire, the former Sydney-based artist who is now living in the Eastern Highlands province of Papua New Guinea and riding high after the release of her latest single, ‘Afar’, rising indie pop artist Jem Cassar-Daley, indie-psych band Daily J and London-based Australian singer-songwriter Sam Fischer.

Also performing across the event are Ladyhawke, Jack Botts, Any Young Mechanic, Public Figures, Akosia, Zach Stephenson, Lara Buchanan and many more.

“We’re incredibly proud of this year’s lineup. We were, yet again, blown away by the quality of applications and we believe the artists selected reflect the creativity, ambition and world-class talent emerging from Australia and New Zealand. This year’s program is packed with artists pushing boundaries, building real momentum, and creating the kind of moments BIGSOUND is known for. As this marks our final year as programmers, we couldn’t imagine a better group of artists to finish on,” said BIGSOUND Programmers, Casey O’Shaughnessy and Katie Rynne.

This year marks the 25th edition of BIGSOUND, Australia’s major architect of music discovery, industry connection and global relationship building between Australian and global music markets.

Every year, thousands of people attend, with Minister for Education and Arts John-Paul Langbroek saying BIGSOUND’s 25th anniversary is a testament to the power of music in bringing people together, inspiring creativity, and building connections.

“For two and a half decades, BIGSOUND has been a driving force behind the discovery of new talent, the growth of our music industry and showcasing Queensland as a vibrant cultural destination,” Minister Langbroek said.

“The Crisafulli Government is proud to support QMusic in presenting BIGSOUND as a key connector of artists to markets, to industry leaders and to music lovers from across the globe.

“Through our 10-year Queensland’s Time to Shine strategy we are committed to growing the state’s creative economy and ensuring Queensland music is the soundtrack to 2032 Olympics and Paralympic Games.”

BIGSOUND is held at Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley precinct and runs from Tuesday 1 September to Friday 4 September. Ticketing and lineup information available at bigsound.org.au.
