Less than a year on from the release of her celebrated sophomore EP It’s All Here, Kaytetye DJ and producer RONA. returns with pulsating new single ‘To The Ground’.
The track continues RONA.’s experimentation as an artist and has already become a dance floor favourite. ‘To The Ground’ acts as the first taste of RONA.’s next project, with more music set to arrive later this year.
Speaking about the track, RONA. shares, “‘To The Ground’ explores the living frequency of Country and the power of rhythm to return us to ourselves. Moving between intimate sound design, expansive vocals and basslines inspired by ceremonial grounds, the track draws the body back toward earth.
“It reflects on the ways music and ceremony dissolve the illusion of separation and return us to the ground beneath us, reminding us that we are not apart from the land, but extensions of it. As our feet move against dirt, they reverberate through Country too, shifting rhythm and energy in return.”
‘To The Ground’ is accompanied by a music video directed by Bonny Scott and RONA. that expands on the song’s themes visually, exploring reflection, landscape and our relationship to the worlds we move through.
