Sydney’s grentperez is touring in support of his recently released debut album, Backflips in a Restaurant.

Filipino-Australian indie crooner grentperez has taken the pop world by storm since breaking out in 2021 with his debut single, ‘Cherry Wine’.
Claiming the #1 on Spotify’s Viral 50 chart in several countries, ‘Cherry Wine’ led to grentperez performing alongside big-name acts including Rex Orange County, Wallows, Laufey and Cavetown, along with selling out his own headline tours.
Fresh from dropping his debut album Backflips in a Restaurant, which peaked at #3 on the ARIA Album Chart, grentperez is currently in the midst of his North America tour before he returns home for the Aussie leg of his world tour.
Grentperez’s Backflips in a Restaurant tour gets underway in Fremantle at the Metropolis on Thursday, October 30, and continues with shows at Adelaide’s Hindley Street Music Hall on Saturday, November 1 and Melbourne’s Forum on Tuesday, November 4.
Grenperez then heads to New Zealand for a one-off gig at Auckland Town Hall on Friday, November 7, before returning to Australia for two final shows at Brisbane’s The Tivoli on Sunday, November 9 and Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Wednesday, November 12.

The past 12 months have been a whirlwind for grentperez, with the singer-songwriter taking out the Emerging Songwriter of the Year competition at the APRA Awards and releasing his debut record, Backflips in a Restaurant.
A fusion of pop, indie, folk and R&B, the album was named triple j’s Featured Album of the week and praised by NME for its “relatable lyrics and catchy hooks.”
