Adelaide’s festival scene is heating up this winter with the announcement of new all-ages mini-festival Future Sounds.
Curated and produced by General Admission Entertainment and UniBar ADL, Future Sounds features a lineup of new and exciting artists from across the nation taking over UniBar Adelaide on Saturday, June 14.
The event is headlined by Big Noter, the new project of Aboriginal Australian icon BRIGGS. Inspired by his love of punk and hardcore, Big Noter merges raps with riffs and is performing in South Australia for the very first time, backed by a full live band for what promises to be a set not to be missed.
The bill also includes Sydney-based alt-punk hip hop act Shady Nasty, who will be performing tracks from their latest release, Trek, and rising alt-folk rockers Bones & Jones, who are making a name for themselves after the release of their new record In Colour.
Throw in emerging punk rockers Xiao Xiao, who are bringing their rauakwas brand of East Coast noise to Adelaide for the very first time alongside prog-rock-rap trio Deluna, performing live for the very first time, and you’ve got one hell of a lineup. But wait, there’s more!
Throwing a light on local talent, Future Sounds’ is rounded out by Adelaide's surf-psych-reggae duo Witch Hunt, femme punk noise behemoths Babyteeth and post-hardcore favourites FREEGOLF. Local DJs will keep the tunes pumping in between sets.
Tickets for Festival Sounds are on sale now, with students (secondary or tertiary) having access to $25 tickets.
