After entertaining SA music lovers with a breakout set at this year’s Nice Day To Go To The Club, singer-songwriter Ruby Fields returns to Adelaide this June as part of her upcoming Half the Laugh Tour.
The tour comes in support of Field’s latest tune, ‘Half the Laugh’, another boisterous rocker from the Cronulla upstart.
The tour features support from pub rockers The Beefs and GREG, the new band from Skegss singer, Toby Cregan. Similar to her last tour, $1 from each ticket sold is going towards Kulai Pre-School Aboriginal Corporation, a charitable organisation focused on providing early childhood education and care for Aboriginal children.
The tour takes off in Adelaide at Lion Arts Factory on Friday, June 20 and continues with dates at Melbourne’s The Night Cat on Saturday, June 21, Brisbane’s Crowbar on Friday, June 27, and Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on Saturday, June 28. After a little rest, Fields is back on the road for two final performances taking place at Canberra’s UC Hub on Friday, August 15 and Jindabyne’s The Station on Saturday, August 16.
Tickets for all shows are on sale now via rubyfields.com.

Making a name for herself in 2018 with the release of her cracking debut EP, Your Dad’s Opinion for Dinner, Ruby Fields has solidified herself as one of Australia’s great indie artists.
Fields’ 2021 album, Been Doin' It for a Bit, topped the ARIA Album Chart and produced the singles ‘Pretty Grim’, ‘R.E.G.O.’, ‘Song About a Boy’ and ‘Bottle-O’.
She followed up with the live album, Live from Repentance Creek Hall, but has been rather quiet on the new music front until the release of ‘92 Purebred’ earlier this year.
‘Half the Laugh’ marks another chapter in Fields’ story and is hopefully leading up to the release of her much-anticipated sophomore album.
Catch Ruby Fields at Lion Arts Factory on Friday, June 20. Tickets on sale now via moshtix.com.au.
