Coming together over 45 years ago, Almost Human were one of the first heavy rock acts to emerge from the ‘80s Aussie pub rock scene. Having performed all across Adelaide in their heyday, the band are pumped to announce a special show at the Crown & Anchor during its last week before developers move in.
Taking place on July 4, fans of the band and heavy music in general can expect a stellar set of covers and originals from Almost Human, including their huge 1987 track, ‘Hold On’, a track that peaked at #28 on the charts.
Described as classic British heavy metal with an Aussie twang, Almost Human have released two albums and supported some of the biggest names in music, including Judas Priest, Whitesnake and Cheap Trick.
Joining them onstage is another iconic local act, The Skunks, who formed in 1979 and were part of Australia’s burgeoning hardcore punk scene.
Both bands are set to blow the roof off the Cranker when they take to the stage for a night of loud, headbanging fun on Independence Day, with tickets on sale now via eventbrite.com.au.
