Michigan rockers I Prevail return to Australia for their biggest tour yet this June. The five-piece are touring in support of their fourth studio album, Violent Nature, which arrived last year.
The record was self-produced alongside bassist and keyboardist Jon Eberhard and was the first album I Prevail recorded in a professional studio in a decade. It’s also the first album to feature vocalist Eric Vanlerberghe as the only singer, taking on both clean and unclean vocal duties throughout.
Containing the singles ‘Violent Nature’, ‘Into Hell’, ‘Rain’, ‘Annihilate Me’ and ‘Pray’, the record received high praise from critics, with rock Bible Kerrang! writing, “A new chapter of rage, vulnerability and insistence on ferocious intensity: I Prevail are reborn on their triumphant fourth album, Violent Nature.”
I Prevail are bringing along some friends for the tour, with Swedish metalcore group Imminence and Texas heavy outfit Invent Animate.
The Violent Nature tour commences in Perth at Red Hill Auditorium on Sunday 14 June and continues with concerts at Adelaide’s AEC Theatre on Tuesday 16 June, Melbourne’s John Cain Arena on Thursday 18 June and Brisbane’s Riverstage on Sunday 21 June, with the final date at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on Tuesday 23 June.

Coming together in Detroit way back in 2013, I Prevail have become both critically and commercially successful, garnering millions of streams worldwide, receiving two Grammy Award nominations and scoring several #1 hits on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Chart.
The band’s debut album, 2016’s Lifelines, achieved gold status in both America and Canada, with follow-up record Trauma establishing I Prevail as major players in the heavy rock genre. True Power dropped in 2022 before last year’s Violent Nature reset the rules and has seen I Prevail gain a new legion of fans worldwide.
Touring alongside Imminence, who have recently toured Australia, and Invent Animate, I Prevail’s biggest run of Australian shows is shaping up as a must-attend for heavy rock lovers.
