Get ready for a month of extreme metal madness this August when Tassie’s Psycroptic join fellow death metal wizards Rivers of Nihil for a co-headline tour that’s sure to leave your brain melted.
The tour arrives ahead of Psycroptic’s upcoming ninth studio album, due out later this year via Metal Blade Records, while label mates Rivers of Nihil are riding a wave of momentum after the release of their 2025 self-titled record.
Joining them on all dates are Melbourne’s psychologically charged Growth and Sydney’s uncompromising and brutal Slaughtercult.
The tour kicks off in Perth at Magnet House on Thursday 13 August, with dates following at Adelaide’s Lion Arts Factory on Friday 14 August, Melbourne’s Max Watts on Saturday 15 August and Sydney’s Manning Bar on Friday 21 August, with the final date at Brisbane’s Necrosonic on Saturday 22 August.

Formed in Hobart in 1999, Psycroptic are mainstays of the Australian death metal scene. The group have released eight studio albums, performed alongside the likes of Dying Fetus, Ne Obliviscaris and Six Feet Under and toured overseas several times.
Rivers of Nihil have been out there getting it done since 2009. In that time, they’ve released five albums, including last year’s Rivers of Nihil, which Blabbermouth called “one of [2025’s] most unmissable metal (and prog) records.”
