An INXS fan since he was a young kid, JD Fortune got his big break after winning the reality TV show Rock Star, with Fortune chosen as the new singer of his favourite band.
Fortune and the remaining INXS members toured the globe for several years and released one album together, Switch (2005), before Fortune’s love of the rockstar life impacted his relationship with the other members.
After rumours swirled that Fortune had been let go by the band in 2009, he was confirmed as INXS’ lead vocalist in 2010 and continued to perform with the band until being officially fired in 2011.
Over the last 15 years, Fortune has released several albums and continued to tour, with INXS fans in for a treat when he touches down in Australia later this year.
Catch JD Fortune at The Gov on Tuesday 22 October. For full ticketing information, visit metropolistouring.com.
