Collapse – ‘For Eyes Not Always Open, Truth Remains A Lie’
“Truth remains A LIE!” is the brilliantly bellowed statement from Collapse’s frontman Heath Ross Chapman, which demands attention on this hardcore epic. The amazing assertion is incredibly informed by mental health awareness and is unquestionably worth screaming about. Collapse is embracing hardcore’s earlier eras, aligned with Maine’s Outbreak and Comeback Kid’s Wake The Dead LP. The melodic explorations and gritty punk-folk wanderings create a captivating atmosphere, but it is the concluding blistering breakdown that conveys those four powerful words brutifully.
