Crowded House Headline Sounds By the River & Red Hot Summer Tour 2025
Both one-day festivals take place across the same weekend in November.

Legendary Aussie act Crowded House have been announced as the headline act for the forthcoming editions of Sounds By the River and Red Hot Summer Tour.
Last in Adelaide performing as part of the VAILO Adelaide 500 after-race concert series in November 2024, Crowded House return for Sounds By the River at Mannum Golf Club in Mannum on Saturday, November 22, along with the SA leg of Red Hot Summer Tour at Seppeltsfield Wines in Seppeltsfield on Sunday, November 23.
Responsible for some of the biggest hits of the ‘90s, including ‘Weather With You’, ‘Something So Strong’, ‘Four Seasons In One Day’ and ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’, Crowded House have sold over 15 million records worldwide and won an incredible 13 ARIA Awards.
Riding high from the release of their 2024 eighth studio album, Gravity Stairs, the current lineup of Neil Finn, Nick Seymour, Mitchell Froom, and Finn’s sons Elroy and Liam, are performing at Sounds By the River and all ten dates of the Red Hot Summer Tour.
Also featured on the bill are brother and sister duo Angus & Julia Stone, ‘90s rockers The Cruel Sea (Sounds By the River only), who are celebrating the release of their seventeenth studio album, Straight Into the Sun, post-punk icons The Church (Red Hot Summer Tour only), Hunters & Collectors vocalist Mark Seymour with sisters Vika & Linda and folk roots group The Waifs.
Taking place from October to December, the first Red Hot Summer Tour event will be held at Sandstone Point Hotel on Bribie Island on Saturday, October 18. The travelling fest then visits Hunter Valley’s Roche Estate on Saturday, October 25, Berry Showgrounds on Sunday, October 26, Ballarat’s Victoria Park on Saturday, November 1, Tarra Valley’s Rochford Wines on Sunday, November 2, Toowoomba’s Queens Park on Saturday 15th November 15 and South[ort’s Broadwater Parklands on Sunday, November 16.
Sounds by the River drops in at Mannum Golf Course in Mannum on Saturday, November 23 before the final three dates of Red Hot Summer Tour take place at Seppeltsfield Wines in Seppeltsfield on Sunday, November 23, Mornington Racecourse in Mornington on Saturday, November 29 and Sandalford Estate in Swan Valley on Saturday, December 6.

Red Hot Summer Tour has become one of the country’s best festivals, delivering both all-Aussie lineups and international greats performing to huge crowds across the nation.
The most recent edition of the Red Hot Summer Tour saw ZZ Top and George Thorogood and the Destroyers perform four dates with support from The Living End, Baby Animals, Rose Tattoo and Dallas Frasca.
Sounds By the River has become a must-attend event for country folk living in the Mid Murray Council, with ICEHOUSE headlining the previous event earlier this year. The bill also included Noisework, Wolfmother, Eskimo Joe, Baby Animals, Killing Heidi and Bachelor Girl.
Festival organisers have curated two stacked bills punters won’t want to miss out on.
