Another of Europe’s big festivals has dropped its first lineup, with Serbia’s Exit Festival revealing DJs Eric Prydz and Tiësto will be joined by the reformed punk icons Sex Pistols as headliners of next year’s festival.
Celebrating 25 years, the theme of Exit Festival 2025 is ‘State of EXIT’, which is a reference to the festival’s beginnings as a student movement fighting for Serbian democracy and freedom.
Both Eric Prydz and Tiësto have been entertaining dance music fans for decades, while this current iteration of Sex Pistols is fronted by Frank Carter.
The initial lineup also includes the Bob Geldolf-fronted Irish rockers The Boomtown Rats, techno artists Indira Paganotto and Sara Landry performing a back-to-back set, pop duo Hurts and Swedish singer Loreen.
“This dynamic fusion of activism and artistry cements EXIT as more than a festival – it’s a catalyst for positive change and cultural unity in Novi Sad and the wider Serbian community,” a press release explained.
“EXIT is also proud to showcase a vibrant lineup of local Serbian talent, celebrating and supporting the country’s thriving music scene with electrifying performances that highlight the best of homegrown artistry.”
Held at Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, Serbia, Exit Festival runs from Thursday, July 10 until Sunday, July 13, 2025. Tickets are on sale now via exitfest.org.
A two-time winner of the Best Major Festival award at the European Festivals Awards, Exit Festival has been a staple of the European festival calendar since its inception in 2000.
Over 210,000 people attended last year’s Exit Festival, with a lineup that featured over 1,000 artists performing across more than 40 stages, including the likes of Carl Cox, Black Eyed Peas, John Newman, Tom Morello, Bonobo and more.
