triple j has revealed its top 50 most played artists of the year, with Lime Cordiale taking out the top spot.
The duo formed by brothers Oli and Louis Leimbach had a massive 2024, dropping their #1 charting ARIA Album Enough of the Sweet Talk before embarking on tours across Australia and Europe.
Lime Cordiale wasn’t the only Australian artist to chart well, with triple j revealing more than 80% of the top ten was made up of Aussie acts, with Sycco (#2), Royel Otis (#3), Hockey Dad (#4), The Kid LAROI (#5), Teenage Dads (#6), Cosmo’s Midnight (#8) and The Buoys (#10) rounding out the top ten.
Another interesting tidbit was that around half of the bands and artists featured have at least one non-male member.
