Californian singer-songwriter and producer Oliver Tree has died in a helicopter crash in Rio de Janeiro at the age of 32.
First reported by CNN Brazil, Tree was involved in a crash between two helicopters that left six dead, including Tree.
The genre-bending artist known for his bowl haircut was in Brazil as part of his Love You Madly, Hate You BadlyWorld Tour, which was set to arrive in Australia this October.
After performing in Brazil, he was set to take his tour to Europe, with the first show scheduled for Lisbon, Portugal, on Wednesday 1 July.

There were few artists as creatively weird as Oliver Tree, with the American vocalist, producer, writer, director and performance artist known for his incredible hair, bombastic genre-bending creations and hilarious interviews.
Born Oliver Tree Nickell in Santa Cruz, California, on June 29, 1993, Tree worked for years establishing himself before breaking through in 2020 with his debut album Ugly Is Beautiful.
An unpredictable artist unafraid to take risks, Tree will be sorely missed by family, friends and fans.
