The beast has awoken as Perth progressive rockers Karnivool head out on tour.
Perth progressive rockers Karnivool are heading out on the road this May and June for a five city tour before heading overseas for the summer festival period. These shows will serve as a warm up for the band before playing Download Festival in the UK, Copenhell in Denmark, and Hellfest in France. This is the band's first set of live shows since headlining 2022s Monolith Festival in country NSW. Karnivool will hit Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Frankston before finishing off their short run of dates with a much anticipated gig at Adelaide's Hindley Street Music Hall. The announcemnet has caused outrage in the band's hometown, with Perth fans taking to social media to complain about the lack of a local show. The good news for our music loving freinds across the way is that Karnivool haven't forgotten either, with the band issuing this message as part of the tour press release: "PS: Relax Perth, we live here. We will sort something out for you, too, just when we have a bit more time!"The "Tri-Continental Drift Tour" will see Kenny, Drew, Hoss, Jon and Steve dusting off their instruments and perfomring all the Karnivool classics for their rabid fanbase. While no support has been announced just yet, we'll be sure to update you when they are revealed. Tickets for Karnivool’s Australian tour go on sale tomorrow, Thursday, February 22 at 9 am.
