March 28 - Noteworthy New Releases

Our favourite releases of the week.

Will Everest – ‘To the Light’

Violet Harlot vocalist Will Everest has struck out on his own with his debut solo single, ‘To The Light’. Inspired by Black Sabbath’s ‘Planet Caravan’, this interstellar adventure through space is fuelled by ’90s grunge rock, ’70s prog and a sprinkling of fierce punk energy. Sci-fi psychedelia has never sounded better.

The Unset – ‘Decay/Bloom’

The Unset are finally ready to reveal their new music to the world! ‘Decay/Bloom’ is the first of three singles set to drop in 2025, with the track out March 28. Showcasing greater depth to the three-piece, the song pairs an unsettling piano solo with grinding guitars and percussion.

Axe & the Ivory – ‘Canyon Heart’

Axe & Ivory have been playing festivals all across Australia recently. However, taking a beat from the stage, they’ll release their joyful latest, ‘Canyon Heart’, on March 14. A warm finger-picking folk ballad, the song pays tribute to those special, talented people who come into our lives. It’s a song that'll make you smile and appreciate those who mean the most.

Laura Hill – ‘Space for You’

A soothing sense of calm washes over you when listening to Laura Hill. The singer-songwriter pulls you into her dreamy world with a combination of comforting vocals and relatable lyrics. Need proof? Give her new single ‘Space for You’ a spin – a cathartic pop-infused folk tune exploring vulnerability and connection that’s hard not to love.
