The East End Cellars Group are excited to open new venue Lola’s in the heart of Norwood.
Taking over the old East End Cellars space, Lola’s merges the feel of New York wine bars with European bistro vibes, catering to locals who love delicious wine, tasty food and good tunes in a relaxed setting.
Adrian Condina from Interior Design Studio was responsible for the interiors, drawing inspiration from the wine selection on offer at Lola’s.
Lola’s will open six days a week and is perfect for after-work drinks, date night with that someone special or drinks and snacks with friends on the weekend.
Lola’s co-owner, Olivia Gorman, says Lola’s is more than just a wine bar.
“Think wine bar, to cocktail bar, to bistro – it’s a place to unwind, connect and relax,” says Gorman. “For the Norwood community and surrounding suburbs, Lola’s is a spot that all can enjoy in whatever way that suits them.”
When it comes to the menu, Lola’s serves up a range of small tasty treats to accompany the selection of cocktails and wines, including oysters with chilli oil, grilled mushrooms with confit egg yolk and lardo and fried artichokes with sunflower seed puree. There’s also a larger a la carte menu that has pork Milanese with caper butter and remoulade and lamb shoulder served with chickpeas, goat curd and salsa verde.
“It’s a place for friends and fun where raw elements and elegance balance,” says Gorman. “And not to forget, Lola’s also offers take-away wines and beers.”
Lola’s is located at 88 Magill Road, Norwood (formerly East End Cellars – Norwood) and is open Tuesday to Sunday.
