One of India’s most celebrated and critically acclaimed stand-up comedians, Kanan Gill, returns to Australia and New Zealand this winter.
After being nominated for the best stand-up show at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2024 for his show What Is That?, Gill brings his new stand-up Not This Again to our shores in July.
Known for his observational humour and well-crafted jokes, Gill makes audiences laugh whether they’re in Mumbai, Melbourne or Manhattan.
Gill’s biggest Australian and New Zealand tour begins in New Zealand at Auckland’s Skycity Theatre on Friday 3 July. Then he’s off to Australia, with Gill playing Melbourne’s Hamer Hall on Saturday 4 July, Sydney’s Enmore Theatre on Sunday 5 July, Brisbane’s Sitdown Comedy Club on Friday 10 July and Adelaide’s Space Theatre on Saturday 11 July, with the final gig at Perth’s The Rechabite on Sunday 12 July.

Gill has sold out theatres across North America, Europe, Asia and Australia, with his most recent tour seeing him perform to more than 100,000 people worldwide.
Beginning his journey while working as a software engineer with a degree in computer science, Gill rose to fame with his YouTube series Pretentious Movie Reviews, where he and fellow stand-up comedian Biswa Kalyan Rath hilariously reviewed Bollywood movies.
He really blew up overseas with his 2017 debut Amazon stand-up special, Keep It Real, leading to sold-out tours across the globe, and hasn’t looked back.
Catch Kanan Gill at Space Theatre on Saturday 11 July. Tickets on sale now at adelaidefestivalcentre.com.au.
