Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Everybody’s favourite gothic ghostbuster, Beetlejuice, is making his way to Adelaide as part of Beetlejuice the Musical.
The eight-time Tony Award-nominated hit musical is coming to Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and Sydney with an incredible cast of performers.
For those who’ve never seen the Tim Burton-directed movie, Beetlejuice follows death-obsessed teenager Lydia Deetz, who moves into a new home that’s haunted by a recently deceased couple and a crazy demon, better known as Beetlejuice.
The Australian production stars Andy Karl as Beetlejuice and Karis Oka as Deetz, with the rest of the cast filled by accomplished performers.
Beetlejuice the Musical hits Adelaide from Saturday 10 October, with tickets on sale now at beetlejuicethemusical.com.au.

“Beetlejuice is one of those shows that’s equal parts wild fun and unexpected heart, and I’m thrilled to bring it to Adelaide,” says Eddie Perfect. “I’ve always had a special connection to this city, it feels familiar and creatively fearless. Adelaide audiences have a deep appreciation for comedy, and a seasoned taste for quality musical theatre, so I can’t wait to share this wonderfully outrageous musical with you.”
Broadway star Andy Karl, who will reprise his role as Beetlejuice, adds, “Beetlejuice is one of the funniest, wildest shows I’ve ever had the joy of performing. I’ve heard so many great things about the incredible arts and festival scene in Adelaide, and now it’s time to stir up a little mischief together,” Andy says. I can’t wait to bring the chaos and comedy of Beetlejuice your way.”
Producer Michael Cassel said Adelaide audiences should get excited for an edgy show, “Adelaide audiences are going to fall hard for the chaos, humour and heart of Beetlejuice the Musical. It’s bold, unapologetic and gloriously entertaining — delivering the prestige of Broadway with a wickedly irreverent edge, powered by the brilliant music and lyrics of Eddie Perfect.”
