Making its return with a full program this year, Dark Mofo has announced the dates for its 2026 festival.
The 12-day event kicks off on Thursday 11 June and ends on Monday 22 June with the Nude Solstice Swim. The full program will be released early next year.
“It's exciting to share Dark Mofo's 2026 dates today as we take our first steps towards next year's festival, where we'll once again bathe the streets in red, feast by firelight and indulge in a smorgasbord of art, music and performance,” said Dark Mofo's artistic director, Chris Twite.
In a first for the festival, a limited number of tickets for the Night Mass, the late-night takeover of Hobart’s CBD, will go on sale this Wednesday 5 November via the Dark Mofo website.
Along with the Nude Solstice Swim and Night Mass, the Winter Feast and Ogoh-Ogoh burning will make up the program that’s sure to include a diverse musical lineup and plenty of eye-raising art exhibitions and interactive displays.
