For those who can’t make it to Bluesfest Byron Bay 2026, fear not, as The Pogues and Marcus King Band have announced sideshows.
While eight official sideshows have been revealed (check out the full list here), only The Pogues and Marcus King Band are heading our way.
The Pogues are touring Australia for the first time in 14 years, with their visit coinciding with the 40th anniversary of their seminal album Rum, Sodomy & the Lash, which they will perform in full alongside a set of fan favourites.
The current lineup features founding members James Fearnley, Jem Finer and Spider Stacy alongside acclaimed guest vocalists Daragh Lynch, Iona Zajac and John Francis Flynn.
Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and guitarist Marcus King returns to Australia with his full band, touring his hotly anticipated album Darling Blue. Bringing his electrifying mix of Southern rock, soul, and blues back to Australian stages in 2026, King will make his Adelaide debut in April for what promises to be an awesome evening of live music.
Both bands play Hindley Street Music Hall, with The Pogues taking to the stage on Friday 27 March and Marcus King Band performing on Saturday 11 April.

The Pogues and Marcus King Band are performing at Bluesfest Byron Bay 2026 alongside the likes of Split Enz, Earth, Wind & Fire, Sublime, The Black Crowes, Buddy Guy, Mental As Anything, Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band and many more.
Speaking about Bluesdest 2026, founder and Director OAM Peter Noble stated, “Our Bluesfest announcement today is a pearler - it’s a beauty.”
He went on to say that they are making some improvements to the festival event, including making the main stage bigger with “new seating zones and undercover areas for campers and deck chairs,” along with “adding more buses to more areas” to help ease traffic congestion after the festival.
