WOMADelaide Reveals First Three Artists Performing At 2027 Festival
Leon Bridges, Madness and Tinariwen are all part of next year's lineup.

WOMADelaide has unveiled the first three artists performing at next year's festival: Grammy Award-winning American genre-defying sensation Leon Bridges, legendary UK ska-pop band Madness and Grammy Award-winning Tuareg desert blues outfit Tinariwen.
These three artists, who are well worth the price of admission alone, will be performing at WOMAD when it returns to Adelaide’s Botanic Park/Tainmuntilla from Friday 5 to Monday 8 March 2027.
Since emerging in 2015 with his vintage R&B debut, Coming Home, Leon Bridges has established himself as a powerful voice in modern music. Each release has seen Bridges dabble with new sounds, including modern soul on 2021's Gold-Diggers Sound and country on his 2024 self-titled LP.
Bridges' upcoming new album, Happiness Anytime, finds the singer-songwriter in dancehall territory. Produced by J Lloyd and Lydia Kitto of Jungle, the record features collabs with Khruangbin, The Avalanches, Olivia Dean and Shaboozey.
Madness return to Adelaide for the first time since 2009 with a brand new greatest hits compilation in hand. The ska-pop outfit boasts 10 UK top 10 albums and 15 top-ten singles – including timeless global hits like 'Baggy Trousers', 'House of Fun', 'One Step Beyond', 'Our House' and 'It Must Be Love'.
Last but certainly not least is Tinariwen, who made their WOMAD debut way back in 2004. Founded in Northern Mali, Tinariwen began their career as a wedding band, going on to perform around the globe and tell the story of Tuareg resistance and poetry since 1979
