Two months on from the release of Ricky Albeck's latest project, Downtown Ricky, the singer-songwriter has shared new single 'Playing Pool and Drinking All Night'.

Produced by Robert Muiños and recorded live at Twin Earth in South Australia with The Belair Line Band, which features The Note favourite Ella Ion, 'Playing Pool and Drinking All Night' is Albeck at his tormented best. Crooning heartfelt lyrics over fuzzy guitars, Albeck always delivers.

The release of 'Playing Pool and Drinking All Night' coincides with Albeck's upcoming national tour that will see him accompanied by The Belair Line Band for 11 shows.

The tour begins in SA with shows at The Bellum Hotel in Mount Schank on Friday 13 November and Jive in Adelaide on Saturday 14 November. Albeck and his band then hit Melbourne's The Curtin Hotel on Thursday 19 November, Geelong's Medusa on Friday 20 November, Beechworth's The Tanswells Hotel on Saturday 21 November and Frankston's Young Street Tavern on Sunday 22 November.

Albeck then makes his way to Canberra to play Dissent on Thursday 26 November before returning to SA for a gig at The Grand Junkyard in Maitland on Friday 27 November, followed by shows at Port Kembla's The Servo on Saturday 28 November and Sydney's The Vanguard on Sunday 29 November, wrapping up at Brisbane's The Junk Bar on Saturday 5 December.

Adelaide-based Ricky Albeck has been at the forefront of Australia's post-pub rock movement in recent years, combining rock, country and punk into a one-of-a-kind sound that's seen him compared to great poets such as Neil Young and Paul Kelly.

Whether performing solo or with his band, Albeck has a magnetic presence on stage and has built a cult following with his live sets across the country.

Having been forced to cut short his support spot on Phil Jamieson's tour due to Phil's recent back injury, the tour gives fans who missed out on seeing Albeck live the opportunity to do so and find out why he's so beloved.

'Playing Pool and Drinking All Night' is out now. Listen here. Catch Ricky Albeck perfomring at The Bellum Hotel in Mount Schank on Friday 13 November, Jive in Adelaide on Saturday 14 November and The Grand Junkyard in Maitland on Friday 27 November. Tickets on sale here.
