Earlier this year, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings wowed Aussie audiences on their Woodland tour. They sold out three concerts at Sydney’s Opera House and five gigs at Hamer Hall in Melbourne. Such was the response that the duo are returning in 2026 with a nationwide run of shows.
The beloved American folk icons are bringing their spellbinding harmonies and timeless songs to ten cities across February and March next year.
“Earlier this year we took this incredible duo to the two big cities of Sydney and Melbourne. It was a dream, and a success on so many levels and of course, the shows were spectacular and sublime,” says Brian ‘BT’ Taranto of Love Police Touring.
“Those shows were part of a longer plan to get to all their fans in Australia and New Zealand over a good period of this year and next. With these new shows in February and March, we aren’t quite hitting all the major cities in both countries, but be patient, there is a plan. See you at the shows.”

For more than 25 years, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings have pioneered American folk and roots music. From the Grammy-winning O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack to their landmark records Time (The Revelator) and The Harrow & The Harvest, Welch and Rawlings’ partnership remains one of the most revered in acoustic music.
Last year saw the two release Woodland, the second official studio album from the pair, full of original compositions. Rolling Stone hailed it as “a humble offering on the altar of what remains,” while Pitchfork called it “a testament to quiet adventure and clear empathy.”
After missing Adelaide on their last tour, fans won’t want to miss Welch and Rawlings when they touchdown for what promises to be an epic evening of music in February 2026.
