DEM MOB Go Bang With New Single ‘Suit Vibes’

It’s been a huge couple of months for APY hip hop group DEM MOB. Fresh from winning four gongs at the 2025 SA Music Awards, the lads helped open Fregon Anangu School in regional SA and have been locked in to support Lenny Kravitz at the bp Adelaide Grand Final this Saturday, along with Regurgitator on their upcoming 2026 national tour. If that’s not big enough, DEM MOB have also shared the brand new tune ‘Suit Vibes’.

Written by DEM MOB, produced by PAYDAY, and mixed and mastered by Grammy-nominated engineer Bruce Bang (Miguel, USHER), ‘Suit Vibes’ announces the arrival of Bala Muugzy, who adds another layer to the group with his powerful island war cry. The track is a celebration of brotherhood and powered by what DEM MOB refers to as OGV or “Only Good Vibrations”. As the group states, “if you’re not bringing the energy, beware the war cry.”

‘Suit Vibes’ is DEM MOB’s first release of 2025 and hints at the group’s next chapter, with the boys believed to be working on more music, hopefully leading to the release of their debut album.

Last month saw DEM MOB help open the Fregon Anangu School in the remote far north of South Australia on the Anangu Lands with a special concert featuring ARIA Award-winning rapper BARKAA. Co-producing the opening event alongside industry partners and TAFE-engaged educators, DEM MOB and BARKAA delivered songwriting, performance and stage craft workshops that empowered students to create and perform their own original works at the opening concert.

DEM MOB have come a long way over the past five years since coming together as a school project. The first group to rap in the Pitjantjatjara language, DEM MOB have performed across the globe at festivals including WOMADelaide, Primavera Sound (Barcelona) and SXSW Sydney.

The talented bunch have won an incredible 10 South Australian Music Awards in just three years - including Best Hip Hop Act, Best Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander Artist, Best Music Educators (twice), and Best Regional Artist three years running, alongside the APRA Emily Burrows Award and the Helpmann Academy’s Elise Ross Prize.

‘Suit Vibes’ ushers in the next chapter in DEM MOB’s career, one that we can’t wait to discover.

‘Suit Vibes’ by DEM MOB is out now. Listen here. Catch DEM MOB supporting Regurgitator at Mt Gambier’s The Globe on Friday 6 February, Adelaide’s The Gov on Saturday 7 February and Port Lincoln’s Port Lincoln Brewing Co on Sunday 8 February. Tickets on sale via oztix.com.au.
