De La Soul Headline Pirate Life’s Eleventh Birthday Celebrations
The hip hop legends will headline the birthday celebrations.

After turning ten earlier this year and throwing one hell of a party headlined by punk legends Pennywise and Millencolin, Pirate Life Brewing are doing it all again in 2026 with hip hop legends De La Soul!
Yep, you read that correctly – the iconic New York trio are headlining the event as part of their 2026 Australian tour.
Formed in Long Island in 1988, the Grammy Award-winning De La Soul are hip hop pioneers whose debut studio album, 3 Feet High and Rising, is hailed as one of the genre's most influential albums.
De La Soul will take to the Pirate Life stage on Saturday 28 February to celebrate their career and new album Cabin in the Sky.
While the full lineup is yet to be announced, organisers have promised “a slew of top-tier Aussie touring acts and homegrown talent,”

Last year’s event was a smash hit that featured headline sets from Cali punk rockers Pennywise and Swedish punk royalty Millencolin. The lineup also included Aussie punk rockers 28 Days, Melbourne ska outfit Area 7, Frenzal Rhomb’s Jay and Lindsay and a host of local talent.
