Australian Music Industry Network Launches Free National Platform To Make Touring More Accessible
The Australian Music Touring Network is a national venue platform created to connect Australia's live music community.

After establishing the Australian Music Touring Network (AMTN) in August, the organisation's website went live today, coinciding with the 2026 Regional & Remote Music Summit in Mount Gambier, South Australia.
The free national platform aims to bring Australia's original live music venues together, creating a live map-based directory designed to help artists and managers connect with venues across the country.
"I'm delighted to see MusicNSW's Regional Touring Network (RTN) inspiring the development of the Australian Music Touring Network. The success of the RTN and the feedback we’ve received from artists about its value underpins this national expansion, and I look forward to all of Australia having access to this invaluable resource," says Joe Muller, Managing Director, MusicNSW.
The interactive venue map features detailed venue profiles and powerful search and touring tools, with users able to browse the map to discover new venues or use filters to narrow down options, with each venue profile providing information to help artists assess whether a space fits their music and touring needs.
There's also a dedicated Touring Function that allows artists to organise regional and national touring routes and itineraries directly from the map, with users able to view distances and approximate driving times between stops while also exporting tour itineraries to spreadsheets.

Another cool feature is the ability for touring artists to connect with community radio through the Radio Stations function, allowing them to explore stations operating in the regions they are touring.
Developed with support from the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA), this feature is a great way for artists to reach local broadcasters and audiences they might not normally connect with.
In a time when venues are struggling, this is a great initiative that can help build relationships between venues and artists, with the AMTN's goal being to build "an artist-centred, industry-connected touring future" and "to strengthen Australia's contemporary music industry through collaboration, advocacy and locally informed national initiatives".
The Australian Music Touring Network has been assisted by the Australian Government through Music Australia and Creative Australia, its principal arts investment and advisory body.
Original live music venues across Australia are encouraged to register to be on the AMTN map, with artists and industry professionals able to sign up for free access now at australianmusictouringnetwork.com.
