Brandon Flowers Shares New Single ‘Tiger's Blood’

This is the third track taken from The Killers frontman’s upcoming new album, 'Thrasher'.

'Tiger's Blood' is the third tease of Brandon Flowers' upcoming third solo album, Thrasher, set for release on Friday 21 August via Island Records.

Following the singles 'Plans' and 'Paradise', this latest tune continues Flowers country obsession as he gets misty-eyed about his youth and the path he's taken in life.

Speaking about leaning into his country music origins, Flowers said, "As I've gotten older, I’ve found my way back to my father's music — 'Country-Western' (as he called it) — and discovered that the stories I carry really feel most at home in the skin of this beautiful American tradition."

Thrasher was recorded at Nashville’s iconic RCA Studio A with producers Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado. Flowers also collaborated with some of the city’s most revered musicians, including guitarist David Rawlings, pedal steel player Bruce Bouton and 85-year-old harmonica player Charlie McCoy.

To coincide with the release of Thrasher, Flowers is embarking on a tour across North America and Europe in September and October.

Arguably one of modern rock's great frontmen, both as the leader of his band The Killers and solo performer, Flowers' time in the spotlight could soon be coming to an end, with the Las Vegas artist admitting in a recent chat with The Times that he's considering throwing in the towel.

“I'm really going through it right now: How much longer do I want to do this, what does it mean, why am I doing it anyway?" he said. "Whenever I finish a tour, without fail I get sick. Then I think of Mick Jagger and ask myself: What keeps him getting up on that stage? I guess it’s because there are powerful moments in a concert. How could I not want to do that?"
