Amyl and The Sniffers Announce Country Concert Film 'Truth Or Consequence'

In what some may consider a surprising move, punk thrashers Amyl and The Sniffers have announced they're going country!

The Amy Taylor-fronted quartet have reimagined their favourite Amyl songs as stripped-back country versions, which will appear on a live album and film.

Recorded at the iconic El Coyote Mexican Restaurant in LA in April, the one-of-a-kind performance features fan favourites along with two unreleased songs and a cover of Slim Dusty's 'Lights On The Hill'. 

Described as "intimate, loose and full of fun", Truth Or Consequence also features candid behind-the-scenes footage that is essential viewing for fans of the band.

"The hope for this record is that it is listened to as it was made, in a ruckus exclamation between a cherished group of friends," says Amyl and The Sniffers.

The film will screen at the end of the month across the UK, Australia, Germany, Spain, France and Brazil. Check out screening times here.

Amyl and The Sniffers have established themselves as one of Australia's most successful imports in recent years.

Since the release of their 2024 album Cartoon Darkness, the foursome of Amy Taylor, Bryce Wilson, Declan Mehrtens and Gus Romer have earned a reputation for their chaotic live shows that have seen them share stages with AC/DC, Foo Fighters and Green Day, and complete multiple headline tours across the US, UK, Europe and Australia.

Truth Or Consequence marks a new direction for Amyl that's sure to be one fans embrace.
