More Than 150 Aussie Artists Join the Newly Launched Artists Alliance of Australia
This new body has been setup to represent, connect, support and advocate for Australian Artists.

More than 150 Australian artists have joined forces and united as part of the Artists Alliance of Australia (AAA).
Founded by Kristy Lee Peters (aka KLP) and Holly Rankin (aka Jack River), the AAA aims to stand up for artists against threats such as AI and copyright infringement and give them the support and guidance to navigate the murky waters of the ever-changing music industry.
"Australian Artists power the local and global entertainment industry and write the soundtrack to the lives of our audiences," the AAA's website states.
"AAA is an artist-led organisation created to represent, connect, support and advocate for Australian Artists.
"From AI and copyright to artist rights and government policy, decisions are being made every day that impact our careers. AAA will give Artists a seat at the table."
The AAA says it will represent, advocate, connect and support Australian artists, with music creatives encouraged to sign up as a member.
"Today over 150 Artists, @klpmusic and I are launching the AAA - Artists Alliance of Australia. By artists, for artists," Jack River posted on social media.
"From today, we're welcoming community members and will commence immediate advocacy on the most important issue for Artists in recent history; the protection of copyright."

Several high-profile Australian artists have come out in support of the AAA, with Something For Kate's Paul Dempsey taking to social media to say: "Today I am excited to join over 150 of my fellow Australian artists in announcing the Artists Alliance of Australia.
"The simple aim is to represent and advocate for artists on the issues that affect us, the most pressing of which is the protection of our existing copyright laws against greedy tech companies who are trying to coerce our government into watering them down so they can train their AI models on our creative output without compensating rights holders for their work or even asking their consent."
Kate Ceberano said she is "Happy to support this new alliance" while Powderfinger's Bernard Fanning said, "This is a new organisation that will fight to preserve and advance the rights of artists in Australia. Get around it."
