Queens of the Stone Age Unveil New Single 'Run Away from the Mob'

Queens of the Stone Age have shared their new single 'Run Away From the Mob', taken from their ninth LP Perfecth, which is out now.

The final track on Perfecth is a much more mellow affair compared to the previous single 'Where the Goth Girls At?', sharing more in common with album tracks 'Insignificant Other' and 'Easy Street'.

'Run Away From the Mob' was originally recorded in 2013 with Dave Grohl on drums, with the song finally coming into its own during the making of Perfecth.

Speaking about the track, frontman Josh Homme said, "It's a letter. A last one, addressed to an oldest son - 'If you're reading this, everything went wrong, and here's what you have to do'. The end is the sound of a father standing behind his son."

QOTSA are bringing their new record to Australia in December, lining up seven shows across the country with support from Primus and Australia's own Tropical Fuck Storm.

The tour commences in Adelaide at The Drive on Tuesday 8 December, with QOTSA then playing Hobart's MyState Bank Arena on Friday 11 December before hitting up Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on Sunday 13 December, Afterpay Arena in Sydney on Tuesday 15 December, Newcastle Entertainment Centre on Wednesday 16 December and Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Friday 18 December.

The tour wraps in New Zealand at Auckland's Spark Arena on Sunday 20 December. The band then heads back to the States for a run of dates with Pixies, Wheelchair Sports Camp.
