ARIA Hall of Fame inductees You Am I are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their seminal album Hourly Daily with a special run of East Coast shows alongside a string quartet.
The band will perform handpicked orchestral manoeuvres from Hourly Daily and tracks from across their entire career, bringing these iconic songs to life in a way fans have never experienced before.
Frontman Tim Rogers is excited to revisit the album and the band’s catalogue through a new orchestral lens.
“Our peculiar brand of musical thuggery has oft been blessed by instrumental finery. Working with musicians of less traditional RnR stripe is thrilling and invigorating. Pomp and circumstance with our grubby thumping heart pushing the bunch of us forever onward.”
Kicking off the tour with their first-ever show at Sydney Opera House (Concert Hall) on Sunday 18 October, the tour will swing through Brisbane’s Tivoli for two shows on Thursday 22 October and Friday 23 October, before finishing up with two concerts at Melbourne’s Recital Centre on Thursday 5 November and Friday 6 November.
Fans keen on securing tickets early can do so on Monday 29 June at 10am ASET here. General public tickets go on sale Tuesday 30 June at 10am AEST via tegdainty.com.
