'Day By Day' is the second single taken from UK singer-songwriter Jake Bugg's seventh studio album, Alamo, out Friday 13 November via Thirty Tigers.

Following last month's 'Never Can Tell', Bugg's new track is a gentle acoustic finger picker that finds the Nottingham product meditating on the struggles and pressures we all face in life, with a central message of acceptance and moving forward.

Alamo is Bugg's seventh studio album and his first as an independent artist. Produced by multi-Grammy-winning duo Jimmy Hogarth (Anohni, Amy Winehouse, Paolo Nutini) and Steve McKewan (Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood, Eminem), the 11-track collection finds Bugg reconnecting with the roots, blues, rock and folk-driven influences of his earliest work.

"After all the years of touring and making records, it just felt like the right time to look inward," Bugg says of the album. "The last couple of years have been tough for me, and I've had a lot of struggles. I'm trying to navigate those and figure out where they stem from.

"Alamo was only going to work if I was going to be honest and be as vulnerable as possible. I've always had a lot of defences and barriers around me. I thought it was time to bring those down."

Bugg broke through in 2012 as a teenager with his self-titled debut album. The album is triple-platinum and topped the UK Albums Chart, cementing the singer-songwriter as one of the UK's most exciting talents.

Sophomore album Shangri La was produced by Rick Rubin and helped Bugg cross over into America, with four more albums following – On My One (2016), Hearts That Strain (2017), Saturday Night, Sunday Morning (2021) and A Modern Day Distraction (2024).

Now in his early 30s, Bugg can't wait to reconnect with audiences across the globe with the release of Alamo.
