Arguably Australia's most underrated band, Party Dozen, have announced they are embarking on an Australian tour in support of their upcoming fifth studio album, 21 Bum Salute.

The duo of Jonathan Boulet and Kirsty Tickle have created something special with their noise-rock hybrid across four albums, with 21 Bum Salute shaping as their most exciting project yet.

"On this album we've got it down to the absolute best part of the idea for you," says Tickle. "We've trimmed the fat."

While their albums are quality, it's live where Party Dozen excel, with their shows really something to behold.

The duo's upcoming tour commences in Adelaide at the Ed Castle on Thursday 5 November, followed by shows at Brisbane's The Brightside on Friday 6 November, Sydney's Crowbar on Saturday 7 November, Castlemaine's The Bridge on Wednesday 11 November and Melbourne's Night Cat on Friday 13 November, with the final show at Whalers Hotel in Warrnambool on Saturday 14 November.

Tickets for all shows are on sale now at partydozen.com.

Having known each other for several years, it wasn't until they reconnected in Berlin that Boulet and Tickle formed Party Dozen.

Moving back to Australia, they released their debut album The Living Man in 2017, which went under the radar. Several more releases followed before 2024's Crime In Australia finally got the pair noticed for their uniquely aggresive sound.

Over the journey, Party Dozen have honed their live chops touring in the US and Europe with Amyl & The Sniffers and locally with King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, while also playing Meredith.

Written, recorded, performed, mixed and mastered by the group themselves, 21 Bum Salute continues Party Dozen's experimental evolution and demands the attention of music lovers worldwide.

Catch Party Dozen performing at Ed Castle on Thursday 5 November. Tickets on sale at moshtix.com.au. 21 Bum Salute is out Friday 6 November via CITY SLANG. Pre-order here.
